100% Kosher 100% Delicious

I was a vegetarian for 12 years, unfortunately many of the years I lived a meat free diet I lived in Israel, a place with unlimited options for eating good Kosher meat in certified and easily accessible restaurants!

On my most resent trip, I must say, things have changed.

It turns out my new favorite place for meat is Burgers Bar. There you can choose from many options and then build your own burger. For me, I add harif (hot spice) into the meat. It really is delicious.

But, Israel certainly is the place to be for vegetarians too. With the prohibitions on meat and dairy mixtures there are hundreds of non-meat options that are truly amazing. My favorite dairy restaurant is called Mizrahi. It is a small joint in the heart of the Jerusalem shuk and they get all of their vegetables fresh from the market vendors throughout the day. Each day they put new items on the menu and their Italian beer is refreshingly light with a meal. It is health oriented and privately owned. The experience of this place is something that everyone visiting Jerusalem should take advantage of.
